Hi,

I've just installed WakeOnLan and solved the G-Data conflict, however, I see my clients in the Dashboard an I am able to wake them up, however, the Icon (when waking my client) shows red, changes to yellow and back to red.....

I've already restarted the server several times but no change

Any help on this issue would be highly appreciated....

Ps.: I'm using the free version at the moment, however, I'm quite willing to upgrade if my system works nicely with this software...

regards
Richard Oberwinkler

Hi Richard,

what happens if you log on the server and ping a client?
Can you also provide us some information about the client computers. Are they all added clients by system or did you add them manually?

Regards,
Elvis

Hi Elvis,

Thanks for the replay.

No, I can't ping my clients (maybe firewall?) and they are added through the Homeserver/connnect option....

Richard

What about the client computer status in "Computer and Backup" of your Dashboard. Is this working properly?
Can you please send us the WOL log file to support@awieco.com. You can find it in the hidden folder on your server: "C:\ProgramData\AWIECO\WakeOnLAN\log\".

Thanks.

Regards,
Elvis

Hi Elvis,

the client computer status in "Computer and Backup" of my Dashboard is showing correctly and working nicely. And yes, I would like to send you the log files, however there is no such folder on my server, although hidden files and system files are set to show...

The only file in there is

"C:\ProgramData\AWIECO\WakeOnLAN\wakeonlan.sdf"

The folder

regards
Richard

Hi Richard,

sorry for delayed reply.
OK, no problem if you don't have a log. Usually it is a good sign, because it means that WOL is working properly.
Can you delete the wakeonlan.sdf file which you can see on the screenshot and start the Dashboard. WOL will create a new database file. Let me know if this helped.

Elvis

Thx for the excellent assistance.

PS.:
One more question...

Hi Richard,

happy to hear that!

To shut down a remote computer, you need the WakeOnLAN Launchpad installed on the client computer that you access remotely. Just open it on the remote computer and press on "Shutdown this computer".
